As promised..just a little late

Hi everyone,

As promised, an update for the blog to help you focus on your controlled assessment (part 2). Sorry this did  not get put on over the weekend. I didn't get it done Saturday and was out on a school trip to a video games convention all day Sunday. I had my picture taken with Mario! (I think it was the real Mario).

Anyway, you're all working away on Part 1 at the moment so I thought this would be a good time to begin updates.

Remember, here are your options for part two, so you should be thinking about which one you might attempt.

*A script for a sitcom, TV advert or documentary - it must be original but you can use existing TV shows as your idea.

*A script for a podcast

*A story of around 1000 words where dialogue (or speech) is a key factor.

What you should be doing at this stage is getting clear in your heads the difference between normal creative writing and writing for the spoken voice. That is what you are being marked on.

How will somebody's spoken communication differ based on the fact that their audience is 'listening' to the outcome?

I will post more later/tomorrow. Just wanted to show you I haven't forgotten!
